The winner is Denis Kargaev, head of the PR agency Team +1.

As winner of the YCE Culture Award, Denis will take part in a professional development programme from 13th to 19th July 2014 in London. The programme will include curated group meetings with representatives from the international creative industries market, a visit to the REMIX summit, round tables and discussions with winners from other countries.

Finalists of the YCE Culture Award:

Timofey Berezin — Director of Why Media Production. As a finalist, Timofey will receive a special prize from the I HAVE A DREAM educational centre: a grant for an intensive course on creative entrepreneurship.

Anna Gvozdareva — Founder and Director of AnG Art-lab.
Anna receives a special prize from the «Creative Industries» agency — she will automatically progress to the final of the International Creative Business Cup award for creative entrepreneurs and will take part in the CBC Connect training programme. She will also have the chance to present her project at the CBC award in Denmark in November 2014.

Kira Taimanova — Director of Benois House educational centre.

Ksenia Podoynitsyna — Co-founder and director of Gallery 21.

As finalists, Ksenia and Kira will receive books on the theme of creative economy.


In 2014 the British Council celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Young Creative Entrepreneur Award (YCE) Programme. The international programme has been running in Russia for several years, and the YCE 2014 programme has been scaled up significantly as part of the UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014.

The YCE Awards are aimed at creative professionals and entrepreneurs who innovate creative and cultural industries locally and strive to reach international markets.

We are inviting professionals from any of the following areas:

  • Venue and/or festival programming and management;
  • Live act management and agents;
  • Live music broadcasting;
  • Live music journalism and publishing;
  • Music development & management;
  • Music marketing; public and media relations;
  • Consultants providing specialist services in any of the areas outlined.
