Russian writer, publicist and TV presenter Tatiana Tolstaya will talk about her work in genres of short stories and novels, about the dialogue with readers and the benefits of ‘longer’ texts. Her lecture "From Novel to Short Story" will take place at 1 pm on the main stage "Open-air summer sinema hall" in the Muzeon Park of Arts on June, 27, 2015. The partiicipation is free of charge, registration is required.
Tatyana Tolstaya
Tatyana Tolstaya is a Russian writer, publicist and TV presenter. She was born in Leningrad to an aristocratic family that includes the writers Leo and Alexei Tolstoy. Tatiana Tolstaya completed a degree in classics at Leningrad State University, her first short stories were published in early 1980s. Nowadays she is one of the most established representatives of contemporary Russian literature: her short stories and novels including The Synx, which was nominated a Triumph award in 2001, were translated into several foreign languages. From 2002 to 2014 Tatiana Tolstaya worked as a host of The School of Scandal TV programme.
