In the history of England, the Victorian era, like no other, miraculously combined an adherence to strict moral standards with a love of practical jokes and entertainment. Photography, camera obscura, lawn tennis, limericks, contests, creative competitions and home performances - these are just a few of the most popular leisure activities of the English in the mid-late 19th century.
As part of the exhibition-illusion, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland” and taking place in the mansion of Saltykov-Chertkov (Moscow, Myasnitskaya str., 7), we invite you to take part in a quiz based on the story and together with its characters visit the house of the White Rabbit, the Mad Tea-Party and the Royal Game Of Croquet again.
The winners, randomly chosen from those who answer all of the questions correctly, will be rewarded with a free exhibition visit as well as one out of three gift editions of “Alice in Wonderland”
As the exhibition has been prolonged until 1 October 2015, we will accept answers to the quiz questions until 15 September 2015.
