From the 16th to the 19th October 2014 Moscow’s ARTLAY Centre will play host to British Design Days festival. An educational programme of public talks and workshops by British designers is organised by British Council in partnership with Moscow Design Week as part of UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014.
During the festival, young designers and architects from the UK will present their own projects, aiming to illustrate the latest trends in the British design industry.
British Design Days combines a number of formats of events that cater for various audiences. As part of the programme, British Council will present a new publication «British Design: context, shdools, studios, industry» that was created in partnership with KAK Project. This book on the best in British graphic design will be of interest to both design professionals and students as well as to general audiences. The festival’s programme also includes workshops for practising design professionals, as well as public talks for general audiences.
Key speakers include Gian Luca Amadei, Programme Manager of the Architecture Design and Fashion (ADF) department at the British Council; the founders of PAN Studio, that specialises in interactive design; Stuart Falconer, the founder of GRAS studio (Scotland); Pete Collard, from the research department of London Design Museum and many more.
