From 11 January to 12 February 2021 the Inclusion Centre in Moscow will host a series of UK-Russia educational webinars designed for professionals working in inclusive and social theatres.
These sessions will feature British and Russian experts in the field of inclusive and social theatre who will share their knowledge on how to organise and promote inclusivity, and discuss inclusive teaching practices and ways to engage the community in inclusive theatre projects.
The webinars will be run by Jenny Sealey, a household name in the field of inclusive theatre in the UK, the London 2012 Paralympic Games Co-Director, and Artistic Director of Graeae Theatre Company; Mark Smith, deaf choreographer and Artistic Director of his own dance company Deaf Men Dancing; Kevin Walsh, Executive Director at Graeae Theatre Company; Alexander Savchuk, actor and director at the St. Petersburg-based Lusores Theatre; Anna Zinovyeva, director and author of inclusive theatre performances, curator at School of Inclusion in Novosibirsk; and Julia Potselueva, teacher at the School of Social Theatre and curator of the Inclusion Centre in St. Petersburg, among others.
The aim of this project is to exchange experience and ideas between Russian and British professionals, provide a platform for participants to communicate and share knowledge on current Russian and international teaching practices, learn how to develop and promote inclusive practices.
We invite teachers, actors, theatre directors, professionals working on social and cultural projects and social workers, whose areas of interest include inclusive or social theatre.
The webinars will be held on Zoom in English with translation into Russian and Russian Sign Language. All webinars are free but require registration.
