The Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy in Moscow and British Council UK invite female Early Career Researchers from Russia to apply for participation in the Professional Development Course on Leadership Skills. 

The course will be delivered by the University of York. It will be an engaging and practical online programme which will empower female Early Careers Researchers to advance in academic leadership positions. The aim of the programme is to provide the necessary motivation, knowledge and skills to become a leader in Higher Education. The programme will include 13 hours of live sessions over two weeks, including live input sessions, small-group coaching sessions as well as asynchronous learning activities using the University of York Virtual Learning Environment. 

Dates

The course will take place virtually between 7 February - 17 February 2022 with some introduction sessions in December.

Deadline and Eligibility

We invite applications from Early Career Researchers based in Russia in universities and research institutes engaged in Doctoral/PhD (aspirantura) and postdoctoral research. 

The applicants should meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a Russian citizen
  • Be a female 
  • Be enrolled in a Doctoral/PhD ("aspirantura") and postdoctoral research at an accredited Russian university or a research institute 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English as the course will be delivered in English.
