A public talk by Peter Collingridge “Words and the Web’’
Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design
Bersenevskaya embankment, 14, Moscow
3 June at 18.00 as part of the 3-day Future of the Word Forum, devoted to new perspectives on reading culture, the publishing industry and creative literary process in the UK and Russia.
Peter Collingridge is a serial publishing entrepreneur, who most recently helped Safari Books Online build an all-new subscription platform for millions of professions that was acquired by O’Reilly Media. He has over 15 years experience in publishing and the web, as an editor, consultant, and executive. He spends his time between London and California.
Since falling in love with the web as an editor in 1997, Peter has spent over 15 years exploring new ways for writers and publishers to marry ideas, words, and technology. In this wide-ranging and occasionally practical session he will survey some of the more – and less – successful projects, and offer some suggestions for what is coming next for writers, publishers, and the industry.
